Fairytale Fever Dream: Senior Thesis Collection
For this collection, which I made during covid, I wanted to return to the source of inspiration and escapism that first inspired me to go into fashion: Fairy Tales. As a child I was obsessed with the big frilly princess gowns from my storybooks and started designing my own. I looked back on these designs and used this collection to analyze my aesthetic’s origins, how it has both changed and remained the same. Each look represents a different, classic, fairytale archetype: the Jester, the Wicked Witch, the Knight in Shining Armor, the Fairy Godmother, the King and Evil Queen, Prince Charming, and of course Princess.
