This mini collection is inspired by the male gaze and the subversion of it by women who use it to their advantage. So my muses for this collection are the fascinating characters, normally being female villains, who use the male gaze as their superpower. Turning the narrative and using the male gaze to lure men into a trap.
This collection tells the story of my muse’s night out. She goes out to some bar, picks up a guy, takes him home and lures him into a false sense of security before killing him.
Every piece was completely made and patterned by me. All Illustrations and flats were hand drawn in Procreate. The Covid pandemic hit during this project so for the photoshoot I had the camera on self timer modeling everything myself, as well as doing the hair. makeup. styling, editing and everything else from my parents basement in Maryland
